VEGVISIR - THE RUNIC COMPASS OF THE VIKING NAVIGATORS

Vegvisir was a kind of runic compass, a symbol, a tool used at sea for navigation. According to some legends, this symbol was protective, inscribed on the keel of the vessels to ensure their safe return home. The most common comes from the recording in an ancient Icelandic grimoire from the 17th century, called Galdrabók.
